I See You
In our worship service this week, we talked about the simple and yet powerful phrase, “I see you.” It’s what Jesus wants and expects from His church. He tells us in Matthew 25:31-46 that He is coming back one day. When He returns to claim His bride, the church, He will place people into two groups. Those that know, follow, and bear the fruit of a life filled with His Spirit will be on His right. Those that do not will be on the left. Both have eternal destinations, but they could not be more different from each other.
What is the evidence of a life that belongs to Jesus? A life that is spent looking into the eyes of people, seeing their need, meeting their need, and doing so with a humble attitude. A life that sees and serves says, “I see you.” God places people and circumstances in our lives daily for us to say, “I see you.”
